This wedding was straight out of a dream in the 1000 Islands in NY. Seriously, everything about it was perfect!! Close your eyes and imagine a gorgeous summer day where the sun gives your skin a warm feeling and a breeze from the St. Lawerence River water cools you off to the perfect temperature and you’re hanging out with people who make you laugh and you’re eating good food…all is well in the world in that moment. That is exactly how Emily & Paxton’s wedding day was.

Emily and her family have grown up visiting the Thousand Islands on the St. Lawerence River since she was a little one so it’s always been a special place to her. When Paxton came into her life, he started joining the family and loving the area as well. It was a dream come true for Emily to have all her loved ones gathered together to celebrate in her favorite place.

The girls could see the guys hanging out from their getting ready room balcony and giggled over their goofiness, reminiscing about stories. The guys enjoyed hanging out by the water and boats before the ceremony at the beautiful St. Lawerence Spirits Chateau overlooking the river. My jaw dropped when we arrived … the most stunning ceremony backdrop with a harpist playing softly in the background. Their ceremony was sentimental and sweet before the laughter commenced during family photos and portrait time! We had so much fun with their bridesmaids & groomsmen!

Emily & Paxton snuck away during cocktail hour for a quick little boat ride on one of Paxton’s groomsman’s boat. Taking couple photos on a boat is something I highly recommend! Sign us up! Cocktail hour was filled with delicious food from 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel on their riverside lawn. Guests were loving every minute and that continued throughout the evening.

The reception took place under a clear top tent with twinkling lights on the riverside lawn with a view of a ship docked and boats speeding by on the river. A dream I tell you, a complete dream!! Several of their loved ones delivered heartfelt speeches and you could tell how Emily & Paxton are the type of people that love so well. It was also Emily’s birthday so her Dad surprised her with a birthday cake!

Everyone danced the night away before a sparkler send off for the newlyweds!! Congratulations Emily & Paxton!!
