Karen & Pete’s wedding was a complete dream day! From getting ready in Karen’s childhood home for the girls and the guys spending the morning fishing at Skaneateles Lake and quickly getting ready at Karen & Pete’s new home to the huge dance party to end the night, everything was perfect! Megan and her team from MLH Events was phenomenal at helping them plan a wedding during covid to completely revamping the wedding reception to a full wedding reception when restrictions were lifted 3 weeks before their wedding. Over the course of the past year Karen has been so calm while planning and they were only going to have 30 of their closest family & friends with them due to covid but then when restrictions lifted, they were able to invite their whole guest list for a cocktail hour & food truck style dance party! Truly the best of both worlds, an intimate ceremony but a fun party later!

They chose to do a first look at Karen’s uncle’s camp on Skaneateles Lake to include him in their wedding. He passed away a week after they got engaged and the camp is such a huge part of their story together and their family memories so it was a perfect private and meaningful place for the couple to spend time together before the wedding began! We then joined up with the bridal party and family at Frog Pond Weddings which is a unique venue just a few minutes outside of the village of Skaneateles. The big stone barn is such a beautiful statement welcome to the property and you can hear the frogs chirping during the ceremony, the atmosphere is so relaxed and welcoming for everyone who comes. There was a sailcloth tent set up right by the stone barn for the intimate family dinner after the ceremony and where guests could find the ice cream cart later in the evening. Brown Built Rentals and Auburn Party Rentals did an amazing job making the space beautiful! Add in Oops a Daisy Flowers and it was so dreamy!!

After the intimate ceremony and dinner, the couple welcomed the guests into a cocktail hour and did their first dance with everyone cheering them on! Then it was dinner time with Toss N Fire Pizza and Limp Lizard BBQ food trucks! Everyone loved it! You can’t go wrong with either one and we may or may not have tried some of each, so yummy! Food trucks are an awesome addition to a reception as it gives the guests an experience and also more choices for dinner, a win win! And then the dance party continued all night! The band was awesome and had everyone on the dance floor!
