Peony’s win as my favorite flower … there is nothing quite like the fluffy, soft, beautifully scented flowers that pop up in your garden for far too short of a time every summer. I have a few bushes in our garden and the 2 weeks they bloom are my favorite 2 weeks of the year. I check on them each day and it makes me so incredibly happy to see them on my desk! Peony’s inspired this beautiful wedding editorial in Skaneateles this past summer with She Rents Vintage bringing it all together!
It all started with a conversation in the driveway with Katie from She Rents Vintage about how we both love peonies and how she had a bunch that would be blooming in the next few weeks. Then the rest fell together … before long, we had a whole photo shoot planned for Hartlot Happening with some amazing Syracuse area local wedding vendors!
Amy of AMK Floral brought the magic with creating the florals, Elizabeth from Paper Crane Calligraphy created the stunning calligraphy champagne bottles while Emma Buaso made the invitation suite! All so pretty! Stacey from The Cakeshop CNY outdid herself with the delicious cake and Layne from GeeJune Bridal had us all ooing and ahhing over the bridal attire! It’s amazing what a talented group of vendors can do!
Hartlot Happening is in Elbridge, not far from Skaneateles or Syracuse and they have a beautiful and unique venue where She Rents Vintage also has their warehouse! The perfect combo!
One wedding tip to keep in mind : Consider hiring vendors that have worked together before! We like to call it the dream team but in all seriousness, it makes your wedding that much better! We have all worked together and know how to make it all the best it can be!
