It’s no secret that we absolutely adore Farm at Cottrell Lake weddings around here! We call it a slice of heaven on earth because it’s so beautiful and peaceful anytime that you are there! Every wedding there is beautiful, relaxed and everyone always has so much fun!! Nikki & Mike’s wedding last September was no different! Nikki and the girls got ready in the gorgeous farmhouse on site. Melissa and Brian, the venue owners, have thought of everything and the house is designed to make getting ready on your wedding day stress free and space for everyone to spread out. The naturally lit rooms and perfect decor makes the photo time a breeze because everywhere is beautiful! The big bed in the master bedroom is fun for the girls to pile on together for a photo before everyone gets in their dresses! Monzie’s Floral in Tunkhannock knocked it out of the park as usual with the flowers!! I couldn’t stop staring!!

The limo bus picked the girls up to head to the church to meet the guys and get Nikki & Mike MARRIED! It was a lovely church ceremony before everyone headed back to the farm for the celebration!! If you are having a church ceremony and not doing a first look, we always recommend leaving a few hours in between for photos. The bridal party and couple took photos in the garden area with the mountains in the background, talk about stunning! Epicurean Delight catered the event and can we talk about how delicious everything was?! The presentation is always spectacular and then the taste blows your mind!! 5 stars for sure!!

When couples leave time for photos during a first look or before cocktail hour, it allows the couple to actually be at their cocktail hour and enjoy their guests! It extends your wedding day and you get more photos with the people you love and of just the two of you in couple portraits! It’s a win/win!

Nikki & Mike had a huge band playing and everyone was on the dance floor before dinner was served! Everyone was just so excited to party!! Live music and the energy it brings to a reception can’t be beat!
