Leah and Matt got engaged on Thanksgiving day and the next week at 6am while we were filming a news segment for Christmas in Montrose at Hometown Finds, we were planning their engagement photos! Leah has been on top of planning, all amidst the busiest time of year for her & her mom’s shop in Montrose, Hometown Finds & Friends. If you’ve never stopped in, it is a lovely shop with something for everyone … from boutique clothing, locally made items, decor, candles, jewelry and furniture. It is such a blessing to have their beautiful shop in our little town of Montrose! Leah’s sister Lydia opened the best cookie shop in town too… Lydia’s Bakeshop, grab a cookie & do some shopping! Any way, back to engagement photos … Leah mentioned wanting to do them in January and hoping for snow. God heard that request and gave us the first snow storm of winter on the first weekend in January!

We started taking Leah & Matt’s engagement photos at Leah’s parents home by their horse barn. Leah’s horses were curious from a distance, making it special to do photos somewhere that Leah has spent a lot of time doing something she loves! Matt was a perfect gentleman, up for anything and treating Leah with so much love & respect. It makes me so happy that Leah found Matt to spend her life with! We finished the photos on a dirt road nearby and it was beautiful!

We are so excited to photograph Leah & Matt’s wedding day in just a few months at the brand new Octagon Barn at Woodbourne in Dimock, PA. Their wedding will be the first wedding at this new barn venue and we cannot wait to see the renovations!
