There’s something extra special about backyard weddings and we absolutely adore them! Meagan & Chris’ wedding was at Meagan’s family property in Montrose, just a few miles from our house & where I grew up. It was amazing to see the property transform into a wedding venue for the big day! Meagan’s family built a beautiful pavilion by the pond a few years ago and it’s been able to host her brother’s wedding last year (We got to photograph that special day too! See more here!)) and now her wedding day. Chris did the electric on the pavilion so the whole family was involved in creating this beautiful place! Meagan got ready upstairs in the farmhouse while the guys got ready downstairs, their doggy was going up & down the stairs to keep an eye on everything and even delivered a rose from Chris to Meagan, it was so sweet!

Meagan chose to do a first look with her dad outside before heading to her first look with her groom up on the hill. Father / Daughter first looks always make me cry, right alongside the bride’s mom who is usually watching near me. It’s just so precious! We were able to do all of the bridal party & couple photos before the ceremony overlooking the view. It was perfection!

The couple made their way to the party down by the pond in a fun vintage car! The pavilion and tent was turned into a boho reception, so many fun details everywhere you looked! Meagan’s sister has a vintage rental company, Hey Babe Rentals, and they worked together to find so many of the pieces! The disco ball on the dance floor was my favorite part! From the vintage plates to the fun photo booth area, everything was awesome! There was even some Electric City Bakehouse cake & cupcakes, you know it’s an amazing wedding when they are there!!

Everyone danced the night away under the disco ball before a surprise fireworks show over the pond! Wish we could relive this day over and over! Congratulations Meagan & Chris!!
