The girls have been thinking about Prom for months now! They have their dresses, the hairstyle picked out and the perfect shoes to finish the look! The guys on the other hand, are just starting to think about Prom. This week we’ve had a lot of phone calls and guys in for tuxedo rentals for prom! We decided to do a quick little post to answer some frequently asked questions!
1. How far in advance do I need to order & get fitted for the tuxedo?
The earlier the better but you can order up to three days before your prom. We definitely don’t recommend waiting until three days before because styles may be sold out but for those last minute decisions to go to prom, we’ve got you covered!
2. When does my tuxedo come in?
Your tuxedo rental will arrive to our shop the week of prom. We are a Sarno and Sons retailer and they deliver from their Scranton warehouse every day during prom season. It depends on the stock, but they try to get us the tuxedos at least 3 days before prom. This allows for you to come in to try it on to make sure everything fits well. If there needs to be anything different it gives us time to get an exchange in.
3. What colors do you have?
There’s over 50 suit options alone to choose from and then near 100 color options for vests and ties. We promise there will be a color to fit your need and match your dates dress! If you bring in a photo of the color you need to match, we can help you find the best match.
4. How much does a tuxedo rental typically cost?
The price range is $75-$220 for tuxedo rentals and most people end up spending around $150. That includes the suit, vest, tie, pocket square and shoes. The only thing you need is black dress socks! The deposit to order is $40 and then the rest is due when you pick up the tuxedo.
5. I don’t want a baggy suit, do you have fitted ones?
YES! We can recommend which suit options would fit your body type best when you come in for your fitting.
6. How long will it take when I come in for tuxedo ordering?
It takes 10-15 minutes when you come in for the initial ordering and measurements. It’s quick & painless! When you pick the tuxedo up, it will take about 20 minutes to make sure everything fits well before you take it home.
