Helene & Kyle … where do I even start with these two?! Helene is from our small town of Montrose and grew up on Quaker Lake while Kyle grew up about 2 hours away in Chittenango in Syracuse, NY area. Their paths crossed at Hofstra University where they were both in law school and now they are both living their dream life together in NYC area!

Over the course of the past year or so, we’ve gotten to know Helene from mutual friend’s from here in our hometown and getting the opportunity to photograph their weddings. Starting with Geena & Seth’s fall barn wedding in Brackney to Autumn & Zac’s Barn at Glistening Pond wedding where Helene was a bridesmaid in each! We had chatted about their wedding at Otesaga Resort before either of those weddings and one day I got a text from Helene checking in to see if we were still available for their date. Helene knew after seeing us at work and seeing the end result that we were the ones she wanted photographing their wedding day! She wanted emotion captured in a candid way and felt that we did that … what a huge compliment! That is what we want our couples to feel when booking us as their photographer … the without a doubt excitement of that we have to be there on their wedding day!!

Helene & Kyle’s engagement photos were on our calendar for a few months as we looked forward to the perfect end of summer day for lake & golden hour photos! We chose Quaker Lake is bring a little piece of Helene’s childhood memories in while creating new memories at the lake and dreaming about all that’s to come in life! Then we headed down the road and stopped alongside for a field of wildflowers and then went ahead to the field with the best sunset spot to capture the beautiful golden hour & sunset! Helene chose the perfect outfits with dresses that complimented Kyle’s outfits, you can never go wrong with beautiful dresses for engagement photos!

We are so excited for their August wedding this year at Otesaga Resort in Cooperstown, NY! It’s going to be an amazing weekend of celebrations!!
