Erin and Brian’s sentimental October micro-wedding at Mirbeau in Skaneateles, NY was full of heartfelt moments from getting ready to a cozy dinner. Since the couple went for a close-knit style wedding with only those closest to them in attendance, they were able to fully soak in the day without stress. This created a calm and inviting atmosphere where the sole focus was celebrating Erin and Brian!
The Love Story
Erin and Brian met in college at Alfred State and during a party they hit it off. Afterwards, they connected on Facebook and had their first date at a Zac Brown Band concert! They adopted two cats, Cooper in 2015 and then Callie in 2016. Both have quickly become their babies and the couple love having a little cat family.
Travel is something Erin and Brian have bonded over in their relationship. A few of their favorite trips they’ve taken have been to Mexico, Punta Cana, and Disney World. A trip that was certainly memorable was their engagement in Ocean City, MD in 2022! After becoming fiancés, the couple jumped right into wedding planning. They both have loved envisioning and refining the details of their nuptials to make it perfect.
The Wedding Day
After months of planning and excitement, Erin and Brian’s big day had arrived! With a perfectly overcast sky and October air, the couple were relaxed and enjoying every moment while getting ready. They opted for a first look to have that sacred moment alone before the ceremony. With stunning fall colors as their backdrop, Erin and Brian’s couple portraits were breathtaking.
Erin did a first look with her father on the stunning bridge at Mirbeau, while she made her way to the ceremony site. With their closest friends and family as witnesses, Erin and Brian promised each other forever. Having a groomsman officiate the wedding was a personable touch that added a level of familiarity and comfort. After sealing it all with a kiss, Erin and Brian enjoyed a slow paced family portrait time. Since they had a smaller group, everyone was able to snag a few nice family photos which is the ultimate wedding keepsake.
After family photos, Erin and Brian received a keepsake photo album from their family members and were able to open it together. It was so special for them to spend time with family and open gifts without being rushed. After gifts, the newlyweds saw their cozy reception space for the first time. Erin and Brian added their own polaroid for their guest book before their guests entered the dining space.
Erin and Brian’s day was full of sweet personal touches like custom cocktail napkins with their cats faces, using Brian’s parent’s cake cutting utensils from their wedding, sentimental gifts from Erin to her parents and mother-in-law, and a beautiful photo album gifted to the couple. These types of weddings that are cozy, inviting, intimate and spent with those closest to the couple are always a favorite!
Congratulations to Erin and Brian!
