Grace and Evan’s lovely June wedding weekend in Skaneateles, NY was a memorable experience with such a sweet couple! This wedding was a different change of pace because we had the honor of photographing the rehearsal dinner the night before! Warm sunny days were the perfect backdrop for a lovely June wedding weekend and accentuated the beautiful Skaneateles waterfront. The love that Grace and Evan share was so evident from the rehearsal dinner throughout the wedding day and we are lucky to have been there for it all.

Their Love Story

How Grace and Evan met is a testament that you never know what will happen when you put yourself out there and try new things! Grace was coaxed by her friends into attending a sublime cover band concert which led to her meeting Evan. Going to this event was not something Grace normally did but it brought these two together so, no regrets!

When the couple visited Evan’s family in Greece, he knew it was the perfect opportunity to propose to Grace. Looking back at the proposal, Grace explained that Evan carried his back EVERYWHERE with him because that’s where he kept the ring! It was a trip the new fiances would never forget!

The Wedding Weekend

The night before the big nuptials, Grace and Evan’s closest loved ones joined them in a celebratory dinner at The Krebs Restaurant in Skaneateles, NY. With drinks in hand, the soon-to-be newlyweds mingled as the anticipation of the wedding was high. After dinner, we ventured over to the water for some last photos of them as fiances and these were some of our favorite photos of the whole weekend! As the sun set over the water, Grace and Evan enjoyed laughing with their loved ones and getting photos with everyone.

Finally, the morning of June 23, 2024 was here and it was time for the final preparations for the wedding to begin. Grace was found getting hair and makeup done with the couple’s two dogs relaxing by her side while Evan and his groomsmen were looking on Youtube on how to tie their bowties! The couple opted out of a traditional first look and chose a first touch accompanied by private vows to be a sentimental moment on their day.

Keeping their ceremony intimate and lowkey, a select few were invited at their Airbnb. Emotions were high as Grace walked down the aisle and the couple saw each other for the first time that day. The smiles on their faces were so genuine and could not have been bigger! In front of a large hydrangea arch, Grace and Evan promised forever and sealed their vows with a kiss!

The newlyweds stunned in their first portraits as husband and wife and then moved into cocktail hour at Skaneateles Country Club to mingle with extra guests who were only attending the reception. After entrances to the reception space and first dances, bridal party members gave sincere speeches and beautiful toasts. Dinner was served and guests enjoyed themselves as they looked over the Skaneateles water.

After dinner wrapped up, the DJ started up and opened the dance floor! Grace surprised everyone with a reception dress change and then the couple danced the night away with their closest friends and family. This lovely June wedding weekend in Skaneateles, NY was amazing to be a part of and we are so thankful to know such a great couple!
