Kayleah and Anthony’s wedding day was absolutely beautiful…not just in the well thought out details but in how their families came together to celebrate their love. It all started over 6 years ago when Anthony needed a date for prom (or so his friends thought he did) so Kayleah’s name was mentioned…he added her on Facebook that night & then worked up the nerve to go up to her locker to ask her if she would go to prom with him. She said yes but he ran away before they could exchange phone numbers so Kayleah left a note on his locker with her number so he could get in touch. They’ve been inseparable since.
I grew up just a mile down the road from Kayleah’s grandparent’s barn so I’ve always known the family and it feels like way longer than six years that they’ve been together. They are one of those couples that you feel like have been together forever…in the best way!!
The girls spent the night at the Rosemont Inn in Montrose and got their hair & makeup done in their bridal suite. The “oh my gosh, this is so pretty” started as soon as I walked in the door & saw their flower crowns. OBSESSED. I love that Kayleah is so family oriented and had her two sisters, new sister in law, mom & mother in law help her into her dress. It was such a sweet time for just them to have together amidst the crazy day.
The forecast all week said rain all day on Saturday but right around lunchtime the clouds parted and the sun came out. It was a beautiful day! Oaklawn Farm is a new venue just 5 miles outside of Montrose (it was actually the barn where I photographed my first wedding years ago and the family just turned it into a venue this year!) and this was the first official wedding there! The whole family helped make everything possible…Aunt Angie grew the flowers in her garden (& Lily Pad turned them into gorgeous bouquets and crowns!), Grandma Alyce made the cake, Brenda & Krista helped set everything up to name a few!
Kayleah and Anthony wrote their own vows to each other for the ceremony, Aunt Brenda sang right before Kayleah walked down the aisle and there were lots of happy tears shed around the barn (but especially in the front row with the parents & grandparents!) For photos, we went to Salt Springs State Park…which is their favorite place to hike & walk their pups! And then back to the barn to celebrate!!
Hope you enjoy this peek into their special day! Congratulations Mr & Mrs. Bartok!!
