A few months ago, two photographers I was facebook friend’s with posted about getting a group of photographers to go to Iceland for a creative retreat. I immediately signed up because I was itching to go to Iceland but didn’t want to go alone…so obviously the next best thing is to go with a group of strangers right?! The anticipation leading up to the trip was high and Iceland did not disappoint! I spent the whole plane ride home journaling about my time there and maybe one day I’ll share some of it. For right now, here’s some of my favorite photos from the trip!
If you are heading to Iceland, here are some random, quick tips/recommendations:
1. It’s super windy there, layers are your friend. Fleece lined leggings are a must.
2. Mika Restaurant has the most delicious hot chocolate I’ve ever had in my life.
3. Try the hotdogs! We almost forgot but thankfully found some at the airport just a few minutes before we left.
4. Watch the sunset at Dyrholaey…your life will never be the same.
5. You won’t want to leave and will start planning another trip back because you want to see even more of the beautiful country.
6. Stay up to try to see the Northern Lights…you will not regret getting to see this! You can always sleep when you get home 😉
I am so thankful to have had this opportunity to visit Iceland and become friends with the amazing, strong women I spent the 4 days with. Enjoy some of my favorite memories.
