Ashley and Hugo’s close-knit sentimental August micro-wedding was one full of heartfelt moments and time with their loved ones. Mirbeau Inn & Spa in Skaneateles, NY was the perfect all in one venue for the couple and their guests. From getting ready to toasts at dinner, every event was at one location which helped Ashley and Hugo’s day seamlessly fit together. 

   The couple met as new nurses together at the same hospital and quickly became great friends who were able to lean on each other during difficult times. After about a year of friendship, they kissed during a happy hour and both knew there was a future together. Hugo planned Ashley’s perfect proposal at their home they had purchased together. Complete with rose petals, candles and balloons, it was an intimate and private moment for the new fiancés. 

   While getting ready surrounded by stunning lush gardens, Ashley and Hugo were full of anticipation and excitement for their close-knit sentimental August micro-wedding. The bride enjoyed her first look with her father and then with Hugo. Since the wedding was just those closest, the couple was able to embrace every moment of their day without having to stress or worry. We also really got to focus on creating beautiful photographs and work with the videographer to give them unforgettable tangible wedding memories!

   With the stunning flower arbor above them, Ashley and Hugo met at the spot where they would commit to forever. The ceremony was relaxed and genuine. Ashley and Hugo had customized ring boxes and vow books which put their personal touch to the moment. Sealing the marriage with a kiss, guests cheered on the newlyweds! After the ceremony we moved into family photos. This was also stress free because there wasn’t an abundance of family. This meant everyone got their desired photo combination and then some! A stunning family photo is a priceless keepsake for both the guests and the couple! 

   Intentional details like a breathtaking flower centerpiece, and individual place settings really made the day feel personable to the couple. As the August sun dipped behind the trees, the couple enjoyed an intimate candle-lit dinner with those closest to them. Ashley and Hugo were able to share heartfelt words of gratitude to all their guests in a toast. Everyone was truly so excited to be there and have such special memories.  

    Seeing a couple embrace intimate and quiet moments that they want and doing something against the grain is inspiring. A wedding doesn’t have to be an over-the-top event to make once-in-a-lifetime moments unforgettable. Ashley and Hugo’s wedding was a perfect example of this!
