Let’s rewind to 2014 I believe when Laurren was one of my senior portrait models… I have always said that we love being a photographer for life meaning that we love when a senior portrait client knows that she wants us to photograph her wedding one day. It was an absolute joy when Laurren asked us to be her wedding photographers and their wedding day was so beautiful! Originally, they had picked Emerson Park Pavilion up in Auburn, NY for their venue. It was right on the finger lakes and then covid hit and NY guidelines for weddings were strict and travel was hard. So thanks to Laurren & Billy’s family and wedding planner, they were able to do a whole 180 with wedding planning and put together an epic backyard wedding!! Billy’s childhood home was the perfect setting with a pond and gorgeous mountain views with their country church for the ceremony just down the road!

We arrived on the wedding day to the guys all hanging out at Billy & Laurren’s home and the girls all at Billy’s parent’s home. Everyone was buzzing around making sure that everything was perfect! Hair & makeup were in full swing, the flowers were being arranged in the garage, signs were being written, it was all hands on deck to pull it off! Their intimate family ceremony was at the Little Meadow United Methodist Church and after they promised each other forever, they road off on a hayride to their reception!! It was so fun!

We took photos around the property before guests started arriving for the reception! Billy surprised Laurren with a boat ride around the pond and as we were over across the water, overlooking the tent, I couldn’t help but take a minute to just take it all in. Laurren & Billy were sharing a few minutes alone as their guests enjoyed each other’s company, you could hear the laughter, the kids playing in the background but all that mattered to the couple in that moment was each other. It was such a beautiful moment to soak in and it’s one of my favorite photos from the day!

The reception was amazing, just like I thought it would be! One of the things I love about Laurren is how she is so confidently herself! The energy she brings to anywhere she is, is amazing! The dance floor was full all night before the epic firework show at the end! It was truly an amazing night!!
