Franklin Square used to be Lauren’s view from her apartment window when she started dating Jared so it seemed like the perfect spot to start their engagement photos! Lauren & Jared met in medical school at Upstate University and quickly fell in love!

After wandering around Franklin Square, we drove over to Skaneateles to get some photos on the lake. Lauren had mentioned wanting some photos in a field so I said, “hey I know this is crazy but I’m going to send you a location along the way … and we will just pull off really quick and take some photos”. With being new to the Syracuse area, I didn’t know of any fields along the drive but I hoped that there might be one that would work … sure enough there was one! We pulled off at a gas station and walked across the road and it was beautiful! You would never be able to tell that it wasn’t planned that way all along … the wildflowers complimented Lauren’s dress perfectly!

The wedding was planned for October 2020 at The Lodge at Welch Allyn in Skaneateles, NY but due to Covid-19, they chose to postpone until next summer so that all their loved ones could be there from out of state! The wait is hard but we know that it will be worth it to be able to have everyone there to love & celebrate Lauren & Jared!

A few months ago, Lauren emailed and asked for a recommendation for wedding planners in the Syracuse area and I immediately replied that Elizabeth from Paper Crane Calligraphy was the best! So happy that we get to work alongside one of our brides as a wedding planner as well!
