The effortless August wedding of Emily and Kyle at Windridge Estate in Cazenovia, New York is one I wish we could experience again! Every aspect of this August wedding felt like it was meant to be, just like Emily and Kyle. They were friends for years before Kyle made the first move on Emily during a reunion trip with all their friends. From that point on, they knew they were supposed to be together and stayed true even through long distance which ended with Kyle’s job transferring him to Charlotte, NC. Which happened to be where Emily lived. 

Engagement story

    When Kyle proposed to Emily in July of 2023, nothing went to plan! Emily shared their story like this: “The weather was awful and Kyle’s plan A, B, and C failed due to weather. He ended up panicking and suggesting we go for a hike in the pouring rain…. But it ended up being perfect. It was just the two of us in the rain when we proposed. He had then planned a family party with both of our families to celebrate after the proposal!” Ever since, the bride and groom have been anticipating their special August wedding day to celebrate their love and years together with those closest to them.

Wedding Day Details

Surrounded by their closest 200 loved ones, the happy couple tied the knot at the Windridge Estate which was the perfect backdrop for their joyous day. The venue’s attention to detail, thoughtful designs, perfectly maintained buildings, and immaculate landscaping allowed for a variety of photo locations.     In conjunction with an amazing venue, Emily and Kyle opted for Elizabeth Moore with The Architect’s Daughter as their wedding planner which was a dream. It’s always a privilege to work with talented wedding planners and Elizabeth Moore is no exception! She was there to support the Bride and Groom along with their families, guests and vendors to ensure everything ran smoothly. Having her there took so much stress off the couple so they could focus on enjoying precious moments they could never get back. Emily put her full trust in Elizabeth in so many aspects but one of Elizabeth’s favorite ways was when Emily showed up to wedding weekend and handed her a huge roll of gorgeous spring green ribbon to add bows to everything!

A Day to Remember

    Throughout the wedding planning process, Emily and Kyle wanted to stay true to who they were and what they wanted. This was so evident by their excitement and enthusiasm to party the night away with those closest to them during the reception. A perfect fall evening, delicious food & drink, sincere speeches, and genuine smiles were hallmarks of their time with family and friends and truly set the night off perfectly. With a live band and a packed dance floor, Emily and Kyle danced the night away with those who mean the most!
