It’s the most wonderful time of the year! This weekend is Christmas in Montrose, and oh what a fun weekend it’s going to be! We’ve been planning this event for months now and we cannot wait to see the streets of Montrose filled with happy kids & shoppers! The Montrose Area Chamber of Commerce puts on this wonderful event & I’m thankful to be a part of it! 

Here are some special events I want to highlight: 

Shop Local this Christmas Season: all of the local shops in Montrose have teamed together to stay open late every Thursday night in December for people to come shopping! We will all be open until 7pm on Thursday’s, starting December 1! 

Pop Up Shops: This is what I’m most excited about, this has been my project this year & I love the response we’ve gotten! Sponsored by Seneca’s Bridal, we have rented 2 of the vacant store fronts in Montrose & we are filling them with local artists & vendors. There are over 15 vendors, all with items perfect for gifts for everyone on your list! The two locations are 200 Church Street and 489 South Main Street. They will be open Thursday & Friday 4-7pm and Saturday 9-4pm.

Christmas Farmer’s Market: Many vendors will be gathered under a big tent on the town green for the farmer’s market from 9-4pm on Saturday. Stone Crop Tree Farm’s will be there selling Christmas trees, wreaths, there will be baked goods, unique gifts, and more. 

There will be cookie decorating at Seneca’s Bridal on Saturday plus the Confetti Photo Booth may pop up somewhere around town!
