The Ceremony Barn

The ceremony barn is the first barn you see on the left as you drive on the property. It's the perfect size and it overlooks the pond and there's a fountain in the old silo. On a warm summer day, the doors can be left open for a gentle breeze and letting some beautiful sunshine in! It's easy to access for guests and provides a gorgeous backdrop to say "I do" 

Party Barn 

The main reception barn has it all ... indoor restrooms, heating & air conditioning, finished flooring, plenty of space, a loft that's perfect for the guests to lounge or the photo booth to be, a built in bar space, a beautiful welcome area and a blank canvas ready to be turned into your dream wedding reception! 

Can both the bride & groom get ready on location?

The Barn has 2 awesome getting ready locations that can be used by the couple! There is a small getting ready that the guys typically get ready in that is on the lower level of the main barn. Across the driveway, there is a large, beautifully remodeled room for the girls to get ready! There's a bathroom and kitchen area, along with a lot of space for everyone to spread out!

Where do you recommend taking our family portraits?

A few of our favorite spots for family portraits at Glistening Pond wedding venue is: 
- Inside of the ceremony barn in front of your arbor 
-Outside in front of the barn doors 
-Out in the field by the weeping willow tree 
-By the pond 
So many beautiful places for photos!! 

What time should we schedule our ceremony to begin?

One of the best parts of Barn at Glistening Pond is that everything can be in one location! If you are getting married off location, you need to remember to account for travel time to the ceremony & back from the ceremony in your timeline. For an on location wedding, 4pm is a great starting ceremony time, then 4:45pm for family photos, 5pm cocktail hour starts and dinner is around 6:30pm! 

Do they allow for sparkler exits? Should we do one?

They do allow sparkler exits and they are so fun!! The owners of Barn at Glistening Pond are incredibly helpful and kind with everything, even making sure your sparkler exit is fantastic! They have it down to a science and make sure everything goes well! Sparkler exits are a fun way to end the night and get one last amazing photo of your wedding day! 

How long should we plan to take bride & groom portraits?

The bride & groom portraits along with the family portraits are the most important and cherished portraits taken throughout the wedding day. Those are the ones that will be hanging on your family's walls for years to come so we encourage couples to schedule a minimum of 30-45 minutes for couple portraits and 20-30 minutes for family portraits. We are happy to help you work this into your wedding day timeline. 

What is Plan B if the weather is bad? 

The Barn at Glistening Pond has thought of it all, including Plan B for rainy wedding days! You can have an outdoor ceremony by the pond, on the patio, or in the field but there is also a beautiful ceremony barn or you can put up a huge tent on the patio! The main reception barn is completely closed in so you don't have to worry about rain for the reception. There are tents on the deck as well. No need to worry about rain here!
