Three years ago, I photographed Cortney & Jared’s wedding at the Hoffa property in Brackney and it is still one of my favorite wedding days! So when I got a call from Kristi, Cortney’s sister, telling me that she got engaged & was planning a wedding for September at her parent’s property, I was so excited! Kristi and Jon met at Jon’s brother’s wedding a few years ago at the Choconut Inn where she was bartending and got engaged this past spring! Kristi knew she didn’t want to wait to get married so planned a beautiful wedding in just a couple months! 
Jon and the groomsmen got ready at his house and rode to the ceremony in style while the girl’s finished up the reception details and got ready in Kristi’s childhood home. Austin & Issan were excited about their custom pocket knives from Jon and the groomsmen enjoyed their cigars (in their matching socks!). There is something so special about weddings that take place at a family property…it’s a lot of work but I think it’s worth it in the end! Friday night when we got there for the rehearsal, everyone was bustling around trying to get everything just so. It’s a team effort and brings the whole family together! 
Kristi & Jon said their vows in the front lawn under the trees with everyone gathered, including the family dog! The bridal party knew how to have a good time and kept everyone laughing through portrait time…it makes our job fun to get to work with fun people! The reception was under the full moon of the fall equinox shining bright above the lights strung above the dance floor, by the barn! Ryan Bombard Entertainment kept everyone dancing & having a good time! After the father/daughter, mother/son dances, Kristi had a special dance with their son Austin that was so sweet!  Danielle, one of Kristi’s bridesmaids, works with Lily Pad Florist in Montrose so the flowers were absolutely stunning! I loved the bold pops of color throughout the details with the bridesmaids dresses, flowers, and the sweet handwritten signs. 
Since her sister’s wedding three years ago, our photography business has grown to where I have a team of photographers so we can be at two weddings on the same day…I was sad that I was already booked for another wedding when Kristi called but I knew Andrew & Paige would do an amazing job! As I edited the photos, I felt like I was there celebrating with them…thanks for trusting us to capture your day Eddy’s!! Congratulations!!
