Years ago when Liz & her friends were driving around Moosic, Liz mentioned “we should stop by Mike’s house” and the girls replied “are we even friends with Mike?” Well, it’s safe to say that Liz was definitely hoping to be friends with Mike & the rest is history! Liz and Mike’s story started when they were in High School…and it brought them to this place, 7 years later, standing in front of all their family & friends, pledging to love one another for the rest of their lives. You would think after being to so many weddings, that it would lose it’s “special-ness” but reality is that each time I get more emotional about the vows and can’t put into words how special each wedding is.
Liz and her girls got ready at the Radisson in Scranton before getting in the limo to go do a daddy/daughter first look at Mike’s parents home a few minutes from the church. It’s always so nice when we can work a few minutes of down time into the schedule for the bride, just to soak it all in…it’s her wedding day!! Mike couldn’t stop smiling as he walked Liz walk down the aisle in the church he grew up going to. After mass, they were pronounced husband & wife!
Their reception was at Glenmaura National Golf Club and oh my goodness, we could have spent hours finding beautiful spots for photos! Mike & the guys had us laughing all afternoon, and the girls were so sweet & helpful! The bridal party consisted of brothers & sisters, high school friends, and college friends…but they all said the same thing about Mike & Liz. Mike is fiercely passionate, especially about Liz! You could see that throughout the day…he only had eyes for her and was so smitten. Whenever I looked at them, he was kissing her or being all sweet!
The toasts were one of my favorite parts of the evening, Mike’s brother left everyone in tears as he surprised the couple with singing & playing on guitar a song just for them. They danced along and there was a standing ovation from everyone! It was so precious!
Dancing happened all night, I don’t think the dance floor was empty once! Live bands are such a fun addition to a wedding reception, they keep the energy levels high!
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Stefanelli!! Hope you are enjoying your tropical honeymoon!!
