Jesse & Emmy’s wedding day was a fairytale…it took place at the beautiful Farm at Cottrell Lake in Uniondale, PA and was the perfect setting for the country boy to marry his princess! The Frystak’s lived just a few miles down the road from where I grew up, there were many nights spent at their farm playing with kittens & watching them milk, the annual hayrides & pumpkin carving parties and the man hunt game that always took place at the pumpkin carving party…Jesse is a few years older than I am so to get to photograph his wedding day was such an honor! I’ve loved getting to know Emmy the past few years and am excited they will be neighbors still!
What made this wedding even more fun was how their relationship started…Amelia, one of our sweet 2015 brides, was the one who played matchmaker & set Jesse & Emmy up! Amelia & Emmy worked together and Amelia talked a lot about this guy named Jesse who her husband was friends with. One day, Jesse added Emmy on snapchat & sent her a picture of his dog. She didn’t respond right away, you know, to play hard to get. After a few days, they started texting and a bit later, Jesse told her that he had front row tickets to Trace Atkin’s concert & invited her to go with him. He thought this would be the perfect first date….but she said no. He did convince her to go to dinner with him. The night of their first date, he drove up to Binghamton to meet her family & pick her up (what a gentleman! Angie, you raised him well!) before going to Tully’s and then giving her a tour of Montrose. Emmy immediately texted Amelia when she got home to tell her how it went…and Amelia’s response was “I can already see a big beautiful barn wedding, and I will deliver your babies on mounds of hay in the hay loft”. The rest is pretty much history, they’ve spent the past 2 years creating lots of memories together & on Saturday they got married! Emmy is officially a Frystak!!
It was such a joy to get to see several of our couple’s there (both past & future!) and you’ll see in the pictures below that Amelia, the matchmaker, is expecting her very own little babe soon! It’s so fun to get to watch families grow and photograph their friends weddings too! I feel like we have one big Photography by Seneca family & I love it!!
We loved getting to work with Constantino’s Catering, Ryan Bombard Entertainment and Farm at Cottrell Lake! They also had the Confetti Photo Booth there which was a big hit!
