Oftentimes the hairpiece options for your wedding day don’t even cross your mind until you are standing in front of the mirror with a dress on & the stylist is asking if you want to wear a veil…we wanted to give you a couple things to think about so you don’t have that deer in the headlights feeling when someone asks you!
There are a lot of options many brides aren’t even aware of, so don’t be afraid to venture from the traditional veil!
Here’s a few things to consider when it’s time to deicide what you will do:
What’s your style? Is it vintage, retro, traditional, or modern? These are just a few styles that your wedding could fit into. If you can pinpoint the style of your wedding, it will narrow down some ideas of the type of head piece you will want to wear.
Do you typically wear a lot of accessories? If you don’t typically wear earrings, it may feel funny if you opt for big ol’ dangling earrings for your wedding day. You can totally look glam, while you still feel like yourself!
How would you like your hair done? Different hair styles can look better with different head pieces. Feel free to look at hairstyles for your hair length, or even go get a professional opinion! Hair dressers are wonderful people to talk to when deciding on a head piece, they have put in many veils!
Do you have any heirlooms that you could wear? This can be such a sweet sentiment to a precious family member who would love to have you wear something the treasure. So before you go shopping, ask your relatives if have anything you could wear!
What makes you feel like a bride? If you have your heart set on a comb for your hair, but feel like a bride while wearing a veil, don’t be closed to that option! If you were sure that you wanted a veil, but then tried on a flower crown and loved it, then do it! Be open to anything that makes you feel like the beautiful bride you are!
We can’t wait to see what you chose! We know it’s going to look amazing!
